Law Firm Software > Tabs3 Integration

Tabs3 software suite includes Tabs3 Billing,  Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Trust Accounting and PracticeMaster software. They are designed to work seamlessly together, but you can purchase the programs separately or in combination. You can buy  just one or two of the modules, if for example, you will only be needing the Tabs3 Time and Billing and Trust Accounting, but not the Accounts Payable and General Ledger financial software because you are already using QuickBooks. There are also several extensions and 3rd party software integration that can help run your office more efficiently. I think these are the most important extras to consider when buying Tabs3 software:

Tabs3 Custom Report Writer

The Tabs3 programs come with a large selection of reports. You can configure the reports to your liking but sometimes you might need to pull transactions from different fields to create a custom report.  In that case you can purchase a separate program called Custom Report Writer. This module can be purchased for each of these programs; Tab3, General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Trust Accounting.

ODBC Driver

If you are still cannot create the perfect report with the Tabs3 Custom Reports, then you may have to purchase the ODBC Driver.  With the ODBC Driver you can bring information from any of the programs together to create custom reports in Excel, Access, Query, and Crystal Reports Pro Report Writer. For example, you can pull information from Tabs3 and General Ledger to create a custom deposit report.

Tabs3 Cost Recover Software

This module pays for itself within a few days. You can import costs from your hardware into Tabs3. These costs include copies, long distance calls, faxes, etc.

Tabs3 Taskbill Software

Now more and more companies are requiring outside counsel to submit their bills electronically. It’s a trend that will continue to grow. After running the final bills in Tabs3, you can use the Taskbill program to transfer the bill into the needed format and submit it to your client. There are numerous formats that Taskbill support, including New Invoice, LEDES 1998, and TyMetrix.
